Several of the residents I chatted with were excited — they use the bus a lot and hate waiting out in the cold.

The third RedPost-driven promote neighborhood went live today. This neighborhood, run by downtown Goshen’s Economic Improvement District, an Indiana BID, if you know what that means, displays ads for local businesses, submitted through RedPost’s software. Here’s a picture of what the screen looks like.
I’m sitting here at the Gallery Cafe on North Ave. in Wicker Park. I just overhead this conversation as three urban professional types, all sitting at laptops around a table eating lunch, noticed the RedPost/Sign by the door that we installed 2 weeks ago:

I spent my Saturday morning (finally) installing a RedPost/Box inside the building beside the kiosk located in Downtown Goshen — it had been installed outside and was not connected to the internet. We pulled a VGA cable through some conduit buried beneath the side walk and I just hadn’t been able to get everything hooked [...]
Two more locations are up now, the first is Myopic Books on Milwaukee Ave and the second is The Silver Room, also on Milwaukee. Another 2 are in the works.
