Fire & Ice 2010
For the second time in a month, the little town of Goshen made it into the Chicago Trib with a short mention of our 3rd annual Fire & Ice Festival. Here’s a photo of the RedPost ice sculpture, an attempt at recreated the CTA Bus Tracker logo:
It’s kinda hard to see and not that well done. I wasn’t there when the carver started or I would have suggested a different approach, instead of doing a square-ish thing and then engraving the logo. But whatever, the carvers have only an hour for each of the sponsored sculptures and do about 5-10 in one day, so you can’t have too high expectations. Yesterday was the main competition; check out the winning entry (more photos here):
