Indiana Community Health Information Network

Do you like that 5 word 44 character name? It is a bit long. That aside, RedPost is in Indy today at the annual meeting of the Indiana Private Health Care Association. Don Yost (that’s him in the photo below) is heading up this initiative, based on his work at the Maple City Health Care Clinic in Goshen, one of our early beta sites (see herehere and here). The problem we’re solving is communicating timely, relevant health care information to the residents of Indiana using RedPost-driven digital signs in community clinic waiting rooms across the state. The content includes:

  • Current health issues (H1N1 flu precautions, MRSA, HIV / AIDS)
  • Healthy lifestyles (Infant / child car seats, Immunization, Healthy diets and exercise)
  • Office procedures (programs and services, sliding fees and payment procedures, scheduling and keeping appointments)
  • Contributing to the community (Register to vote, Places to volunteer, How to become a health center advocate)

Here’s a flyer with some basic details. More info to come. If you want to join the network, contact Don.

Oh yeah, and get this: the cost to participate is approximately $150/mo for a 3 year lease (we won’t know the final cost until we know the total number of participants). This includes everything: two 26″ digital signs, installation/maintenance, Indiana-specific health care content, software login to add local info, support and training.
