Speaking Tour: GC Afternoon Sabbatical
Gina Leichty, Julia Gautsche, Earlene Nofziger and myself spoke at Goshen College’s Afternoon Sabbatical this afternoon about Downtown Goshen. Unlike my last speaking engagement, people showed up this time…about 150 of them! This was the first time I spoke in front of a large-ish crowd and didn’t write out my speech…I just outlined it and then went off the cuff. I wasn’t really even nervous…and enjoyed myself. AND made cute, funny, off the cuff comments. Although I forgot to make my joke about how having McCain and Obama offices right next to each other on Main Street is proof of Goshen’s diversity…
