More photos from the ice festival this past weekend. The first is of the RedPost sculpture pre-sculpting, the others of the contest entries that were worked on Saturday.
One of my friends (from Napa Valley) said the ice festival made them feel like we were in Napa and it had somehow snowed and we were all 50 looking at funny ice sculptures. I think there is an element oh hokiness to an ice festival, but seeing the sculptors working was what made it work for me — just having a bunch of ice around is a bit hokey.
